The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in Panaji has released the provisional timetable for the 2025 Class X and XII public examinations. According to the board's schedule, the Class XII exams are expected to take place from February 1 to 15, 2025, while the Class X exams are scheduled for March 1 to 20 of the same year. In response to increasing temperatures caused by global warming, the board announced earlier this year that the exam schedule has been moved up by about 28 days in 2025. This decision was made after some students experienced discomfort during the 2024 exams due to the heat. All exams for students will now conclude before March 31 starting from 2025, and result declarations will be finalized by the end of April. These adjustments were made as a precautionary measure after instances of students fainting or experiencing symptoms like vomiting during previous exam periods. The new timetable aligns with national timelines and is consistent with other central and state boards. Board Chairperson Bhagirath Shetye explained the rationale behind the changes, ensuring students' well-being and a smoother examination process moving forward.
